Once you’ve purchased the Rapid Review, you’ll receive a link to a short form where you can describe your top three concerns and upload your floor plan to the Architect GP portal. After reviewing this information, Sarah will record a 15-20 minute video in real time, walking through your plan, marking it up, and offering clear, practical suggestions to improve it. It’s a simple, effective process that gives you the benefit of professional architectural insight without needing to coordinate a meeting or wait weeks for feedback.

When booking your Rapid Review, you’ll be prompted to upload your floor plan or current design drawings. You’ll also be guided through a simple form to outline your top three concerns. These can range from big-picture issues like layout and sustainability to more specific concerns like windows, floor coverings, or joinery. The more specific your questions, the more targeted and helpful Sarah’s feedback will be.

The Rapid Review gives you a downloadable 15-20-minute video in which Sarah’s hands and voice walk you through your design in real time. She’ll offer direct, professional feedback focused on your specific concerns, while also drawing attention to additional opportunities or issues she identifies based on her architectural experience. While the format is deliberately focused and not exhaustive, it delivers real, actionable suggestions to improve your floor plan and align your design more closely with your goals.

The Rapid Review costs $397 +gst.

But first you will receive an email with a link to review a Service Agreement so you are covered always by Sarah’s Professional Indemnity insurance (another benefit of working with an Architect!).

After signing you will be sent an invoice, with payment processed securely through Stripe. Once your payment is confirmed, Sarah will get to work and have your Review ready for you within 5-7 business days.

All Rapid Reviews are delivered within 5-7 business days of signing your Agreement and payment being received. If you require feedback sooner than this, please get in touch and Sarah will do her best to find a solution. Architect GP believes that everyone deserves timely, thoughtful design advice when they need it most.

As this is a targeted and rapid service, it does not include follow-up questions after the video is delivered. However, Architect GP’s mission is to make architectural services more accessible and transparent.

Absolutely. This service is designed specifically for homeowners who are already working with a draftsperson or designer. At Architect GP, it’s common to hear from clients who feel unsupported during the process—like they’re being asked questions they don’t feel qualified to answer. The Rapid Review provides a fresh perspective and the insight you need to guide your next steps. Architect GP isn’t here to take over the process, but to empower you to give informed feedback and make the best decisions for your home.

The answer is yes, but any architect must adhere to the highest ethical standards when engaging with another architect’s work. The Rapid Review is designed to work alongside your current design process, and as such Sarah will always defer to the advice of your incumbent architect. They have greater depth of knowledge of your circumstances.

In this situation the role of the Rapid Review is expressly to coach you, the client, in being able to give the very best feedback to your existing design team. Many homeowners find that having an independent perspective from a different architect helps clarify their own priorities and raises ideas that may not have been articulated yet.

This review should not interfere with your existing design relationship, rather, it is to equip you with greater insight to ask better questions and make more confident decisions.

The Rapid Review is not a full redesign service.

It is a focused, expert review of your current floor plan and design. Sarah will suggest practical improvements to areas like layout, functionality, sustainability, and more, but always based on your existing design. You’ll be working directly with Sarah Hobday-North, a registered architect (Vic) and the founder of Architect GP.

Sarah graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Melbourne in 2007 and is also a qualified secondary school teacher. She has worked in Melbourne and overseas in the fields of urban design, education design, and residential architecture. Sarah also teaches at Monash University in sustainable design and building performance, and at the University of Melbourne in human environment relations. She collaborates directly with builders in her own practice and is known for pragmatic, practical, and delightful design solutions.

Yes, absolutely! The suggestions from the Rapid Review can and should be taken back to your own design team for proper integration into your project. The goal is to empower you to give excellent feedback and to articulate thoughtful solutions to design challenges your team may not have addressed. This is about giving you both the ideas and the language to manage your own design process confidently.
