Bill Hinchcliff

I’m the Director of Trennel Architecture and have a strong passion for residential design. I’m particularly interested in how passive solar design, airtightness, continuous insulation and active ventilation systems can significantly improve comfort and the quality of everyday living.
I strongly believe everyone should have access to an architect who can guide them, regardless of project size or budget. Homes are deeply personal, and by keeping you at the centre of the process, your experience - as well as the outcome - should reflect that.
I have extensive knowledge of the South Australian building industry, having worked on projects ranging from inner-city homes to rural retreats across the state. I’m known for a down-to-earth approach that’s earned the trust of both clients and trades. For me, project delivery and collaboration are straightforward, with a strong focus on quality workmanship.
Outside of design work, I enjoy spending time in my garden, going on long walks with my daughter, and I’m usually in the middle of some kind of renovation project of my own.
