$2,249 +GST

This package includes a minimum of 8 hours of professional time.

  • You receive a questionnaire to give structure as you record your needs and wants, budget, and visualise what success looks like for you.

  • Your Architect GP researches the property and planning context, and brings copies of reports for you.

  • Travel to your home or property

  • Your Architect GP arrives in person at the 2-hour workshop with analysis of the existing floorplan and ready for a tour!

  • You will work collaboratively and in real time with your Architect GP to test ideas and strategies that align with your budget.

  • Discussion of indicative costs.

  • Following the workshop you will receive a summary report, including a revised and annotated floor plan, local referrals to other relevant consultants and a clear description of your next steps.

Architects are held to the highest standards of any design professional in Australia. A signed agreement protects your consumer rights and is applicable to all workshops. You can view the Agreement template here.

  • Is your family taking up more room than it used to? Have you recently added a new family member? Or you’re about to? Perhaps you are accommodating ageing parents or young adult children who want their own space?

  • In this amazing service, your Architect GP will look for ways to achieve alignment between your family’s needs and wants, your budget and design opportunities.

    Architects are expert problem solvers. We do something that AI can’t do (yet!), which is to integrate your nuanced words with your existing space. We have the ability to visualise new space that brings out the best of both. And then, we can draw it and make notes so that you can see what we’re thinking, and share that vision with your significant others.

    There are no secrets with an Architect GP. We will listen a lot, probably talk a lot, and show you everything we are thinking and draw it right there at your dining table. This advice can make the difference between staying in your current home that you love, or feeling forced to move. Think of the cost and disruption that you could avoid by making some tweaks to your current living arrangements.

    All you need to get started is a real estate agent’s floor plan and a meeting in your home! It can be that simple, but the results can be dramatic.

  • You like where you live, but how do you fit it all in? This is a very common pressure on households and it deserves a thoughtful solution.

    We can help you reconfigure your current house to meet your changing needs and lifestyles, or provide scenarios for you to renovate or extend, to provide for your growing family or evolving household.

  • Book this package and you will receive a minimum of 6 hours of professional time.

    We send you a pre-workshop Questionnaire to tell us your needs, wants and your story so far. Clients love this process.

    We prepare for your workshop by reviewing the questionnaire, the existing conditions information you provide, your local council information and understanding your site and context. We are ready for this!

    A two hour workshop at your home, or nominated address, where you’ll get:

    • The undivided attention of your Architect GP

    • A workshop agenda to structure the discussion and enable you to prepare, so you get the most out of it

    • A prepared Architect GP who has read your questionnaire, done desktop research, and is ready to work

    • A non-judgemental Architect who will tour your home with eyes only for what matters (toy, piles of laundry and the mess of life are no big deal)

    • You provide printed copies of floor plans and other information - such as building inspection reports, energy efficiency ratings, etc - that you have on hand

    • Tim Tams, brought by your Architect GP, to keep our brains alert!

    • Architectural sketches in real time to explore the most critical parts of your project; such as site analysis, design strategies, room relationships and/or design alternatives. We to show, ask and involve you in the sketching work (not just tell you how it should be!)

    • Discussions of your budget (yes, we’ll talk numbers!) and how it is important for your decision making

    • The reassurance that comes from knowing that your decisions are based on real data and knowledge, having explored the relevant issues and future potential for improvements

    • A verbal summary of the key outcomes and next steps

    After the workshop, your Architect GP will send you a summary email report with follow-up on any other consultants that may be useful referrals for you.

    • The value is you can act on the energy and momentum created by the workshop to progress your project
